Sunday 27th of November is ‘Light Up Earby’, the first, hopefully, of many events organised by Earby Events Group.
Taking place at New Road Community Centre, between 11 am – 4 pm, this free event will be packed with fun for the whole family.
There will be local crafters, artists and businesses with a variety of Christmas Market stalls. Local musicians/bands (five musical performances between 1.30 pm – 3.30 pm), Churches Together interactive nativity, festive food courtesy of Earby Guerrilla Garden’s, Magic show, and a visit from Father Christmas between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm with presents for the children.
Then we hope you’ll join us up on the Green (Riley Street/Aspen Lane) from 4.45 pm for the lantern parade. Children who have previously made lanterns can collect them from St Peter’s Methodist Church from 4.30 pm.
Magical Winter Sprites will be joining the lantern parade, and Earby Brass Band will be playing Christmas Carols before the Switch On!
All this coming week we’ll be adding information about ‘Light Up Earby’. You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date. There will be volunteering opportunities, so if you’d like to help Earby Event’s Group make it a truly magical day for all, then go give them a follow on Facebook and find out more.
